We are hiring Operator and Operator Assistant positions for our oilfield pump-down crews.

Schedule & location

  • 14 days on / 7 days off hitch schedule

  • Long days on location during hitch (typically ~14-hour days)

  • Home yard: Columbus, TX (3554 FM 109)

  • Travel from the Columbus yard to job locations across the greater Gulf Coast and Permian Basin

Requirements for most positions

  • Must earn a CDL for most positions (or already have one)

  • Experience truck driving, pump operating, or as a mechanic is a big plus

 

Operator

Run pumping operations and lead Operator Assistants on location.

What you’ll do

  • Run pumping operations safely and efficiently on location

  • Direct and train Operator Assistants on equipment checks, boost, bleed-off, iron, and wellhead work

  • Own pre-job equipment checks (pump, boost, tractor, pickup) and keep equipment ready

  • Manage fluid flow, pressure, and wellhead configurations; bleed off and pressure-test correctly

  • Oversee tank and tote strapping, chemical handling, and SDS/PPE decisions

  • Check, change, and oversee pump valves and packing

  • Lead or participate in JSAs and safety meetings; enforce stop work authority and other Barco safety programs

  • Keep trucks, trailers, and location organized; hand off a clear status to relief

  • Communicate with the customer, crew manager, and shop on job progress and equipment needs

What we look for

  • Experience operating oilfield pumps (or strong trucking / pump / mechanic background)

  • CDL required or ability to obtain

  • Comfortable leading a small crew and training new hands

  • Strong safety habits and clear communication on location
